Arlene was a charter member of the Parents without Partners Club and the Kellogg 25 Year Club. She was also a member of the Happy Hookers Bedford Mobile Home Village Knitting and Crochet Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards and bingo. But most of all, Arlene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her three daughters, Tanya (Gregory) Waschak, Terri (Visnu) Sookhai, and Timary (Kenneth) Krider, all of Battle Creek; her grandchildren, Gregory and Megan Waschak, Alexandria and Christoffer Sookhai and Natasha Martinez; a great-granddaughter, Ayrianna Waschak, and two great-grandsons, Maison Jenkins and Gabrien Banks.
Arlene was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Martinez; a sister, Lucille Margaret Butler, and her twin brothers, Glen Arthur Butler and Harold Lawrence Butler.
At the request of the family, they will receive friends on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Human Society of Southwest Michigan.
