NATIVE OF TROY DIES HERE TODAY
After a painful illness of nearly half a year, Mr E. A. Karns died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at his home 349 Young street, where he had been a sufferer with valvular heart trouble and a complication of diseases.
Edward Albertus Karns was born near Troy Ohio, on September~8~1880, being 47 years of age at the time of his death. He had been a resident of this city for the past two years where he was employed at the Meteor Motor Car Company. The family had resided in Troy Ohio for eleven years before coming to Piqua Ohio.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife, Mrs. Hettie{Meyers}Karns and four children; Eldon, Esther, Mary and Virginia Karns.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon from the late residence on Young Street, conducted by the Rev. Bimon Long, paster of St. John's Lutheran Church, of which Mr. Karns was a member. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy Ohio.
