BROWNSVILLE, TN- Mrs. Alma Morris English, age 91, passed away in her home near Brownsville, Tennessee, Thursday, January 3, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rix English; two infant daughters, Julia Ann English and Mildred Joy English; two brothers, Thomas Morris and Herbert H. Morris and one sister, Ruby Morris Garavelli.

Mrs. English was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church from the time she was six years old. She served as treasurer of the church for over fifty years.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Brownsville Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P. M., Sunday, January 7, 2008 with Rev. Earl David and Rev, Jim Appleton officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery.

Mrs. English is survived by one son: Robert Morris English, Sr. and his wife, Jessie Cogbill English of Brownsville TN; two grandchildren: R. Morris English, Jr. and his wife, Lisa Spencer English of Brownsville, TN and Dr. John English and his wife, Judy Brantley English of Covington, TN; five great-grandchildren; Peyton Elizabeth English, Brantley Dawson English, Julia Alexander English, R.M. English III and Mary Helen English.

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church and Trinity Cemetery Association. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the Brownsville Funeral Home.
