-Mrs. Tuten was born to Oscar and Veta Barwick in Adrian, Georgia where she was one of nine children. Mrs. Tuten was a graduate of Georgia Teacher's College where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi honorary education society. After graduating from Georgia Teacher's College in the mid-1950's, she met and married Allen Tuten and moved to Macon. Mrs. Tuten was a Media Specialist for the Bibb County School System for many years. She was a charter member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church, a member of The Grace Bible Class and a member of the United Methodist Women, Ruth circle.
-Survivors: husband, Allen Tuten; daughter, Jane Tuten; son, Jeff Tuten; a grandson; a great grandson; sisters, Lucille Roberts of Macon, Nellie Pearce of Tampa, FL, Betty (Tommy) Tison of Columbia, SC; and brothers, Louis Barwick of Augusta, GA, Elliot (Mary) Barwick of Adrian, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
-She is also survived by her many caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care.
