Mrs. Laura Duke Moore, 80, widow of Cokes Moore of Westminster, died Sunday in the Greenville hospital following several weeks of illness. Mrs. Moore was a lifelong resident of Oconee County, a daughter of the late Warren C. and Nettie Clardy Duke. She was a member of Old Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors: two sons, Claude Moore of Westminster and Chester Moore of East Shady Side, Ohio; six daughters, Mrs. Ruth Green of Greenville, Mrs. Edith Franklin of Easley, Mrs. Sybil Laws of Madison, Mrs. Millie Zatemalo of Shady Side, Ohio, Mrs. Edna Cobb of Westminster, Mrs. Helen Patterson of Fair Play; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Powell of Westminster; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Welcome Baptist Church with the Revs. Lloyd Spearman and M. A. Guest officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
