"Mr. Wm. Phelps Dead. Last Saturday night, on the waters of 'Little Clify,' near Blair's Schoolhouse, the subject of this notice peacefully met his God. The deceased was about fifty years old, an excellent citizen, a devout church worker, and a brother of Capt. John Phelps. He was a victim of typhoid fever, and was perfectly resigned to the will of his Maker."
