Earl Beane, 68, RR 5, died Tuesday at Ball Hospital after becoming ill at home. He was born in Knifely, Ky., and moved to Muncie 35 years ago. He was a boilermaker at Coulter Boiler Co. for 32 years before retiring three years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Geraldine) Knight, Muncie; a brother, Caleb, Muncie; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Paul S. Vise officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to services Thursday.
