John H. Acheson, of Douglas township, died at his home nine miles northwest of Winterset on Friday evening Sept. 25th, 1903, from hemorrhage of the lungs.
Mr. Acheson was well known throughout the county and generally respected as a good citizen and an upright man.
His funeral services were held from the home on Monday under the direction of his pastor, Rev. P. H. McDowell of the Baptist church and the interment made in the Winterset cemetery.
Mr. Acheson lived many years five or six miles southwest of Wintersest in Lincoln township.
