" Funeral services for Mrs. Laura McClain Colebank will be conducted Sunday afternoon in the home of
a sister, Mrs. D. M. Bowers, 27 Main street, Point Marion.
Mrs. Colebank, a native of Point Marion and a daughter of the late Simeon L. and Equilla Cannon
McClain, died early Monday morning, April 22, 1935, in the home of relatives at Santa Ana, Cal. Death
was attributed to a stroke of paralysis suffered about six months ago and from which she never fully
recovered.
Surviving, besides Mrs. Bowers, are three brothers, Leroy and William McClain, of Point Marion, and J.
C. McClain, Uniontown.
In 1900 she became the bride of Bonner Cornish, of Waco, Tex., who died there 10 years later. In 1922
she was married to Lawrence Colebank, also a native of Point Marion, taking up their place of residence
on Mr. Colebank's ranch at Swastik, N. D., where he was also county superintendent of schools. Mr.
Colebank was the victim of an automobile accident in Florida in July, 1924, after which Mrs.Colebank
made her home in Los Angeles, Cal.
Her last visit with local relatives was for a period of five months last year."
