FOREST L. MCKENNEY; OLD TOWN - Forest L. McKenney, 58, died at a Bangor hospital, Dec. 12, 1987, after a brief illness. He was born in Lowell, May 20, 1929, the son of Percy and Arlene (Shorey) McKenney. Forest was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Old Town Grange and the VFW Post No. 3381. He had been employed for 22 years with the Old Town Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce (Sheppard) McKenney of Old Town; three sons, Jonathan A. McKenney and Frederick L. McKenney, both of Old Town, Gregory A. McKenney of Hudson; a daughter, Linda Thibodeau of Old Town; three stepsons, Richard D., Marwin A. Jr., and Justin A. Faloon, all of Old Town; one stepdaughter, Wendy Fields of Fort Riley, Kan,; one brother, Stanley McKenney of Lowell; four half brothers, Arnold McKenney of Old Town, George McKenney of Bradley, Daynel and Ronald McKenney, both of Lowell; one half sister, Ann Quint of Houlton; 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son , Darrell, and a brother, Edwin. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Baillargeon Funeral Home, 109 Middle St., Old Town, with the Rev. Howard Benson officiating. Interment will be in Lowell Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 84, Orono. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday.
