Teresa McKinley, age 53, of Lyons, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Community Hospice House, following an extended illness. She was a 1976 graduate of Reidsville High School, and has been the head cashier at Altamaha Electric Membership Corporation for the past 14 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lyons.
Teresa is survived by her husband Mike Mckinley; parents Sonny and Juliette Durden of Lyons; sister and brother-in-law, Lana and Sidney Miles, Townsend, GA. Also surviving are two-stepdaughters Diana McKinley, Vidalia, and Tiffany McKinley, Lyons; step-granddaughter Emily Edwards; niece Natalee Miles, St. Simons; nephew Mathew Miles, Athens; and a large group of dear close friends, and co-workers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Lyons First United Methodist Church with Reverend Barry Giddens officiating and Reverend Dannie Williams. Interment will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening.
