Henry was employed by Gatesville training school for 9 years and lived in Coryell County all of his life.
Survivors at the time of death were two daughters, Laurene & Wilma Boyd, and a son, Howard Boyd all of Gatesville; three sisters, Mrs. Charity Simmons and Miss Minnie Boyd of Oglesby and Mrs. Emma Rittan of Swenson; and five brothers, Claude and Tom Boyd of Oglesby, Fred Boyd of Gatesville, Pitson Boyd of Dallas and Summer Boyd of Bartlett.
After Bertie's death, Henry's siblings, who never married, Claude Edwin Boyd and Minnie Clementine Boyd, raised Laurene, Willie Mae,and Howard.
