Andrew J. "Andy" Bauders, 89, of Rittman, died Sunday night, Dec. 11, 2011, in hospice care at the Inn At Medina.
He was born July 19, 1922, in Lodi to Jesse A. and Grace D. (Musgrave) Bauders and lived most of his life in Rittman.
He graduated from Doylestown High School and formerly attended the Akron Baptist Temple. He was a member of Wadsworth Masonic Lodge #385 F&AM, OES Chapter #266 and was a former member of Rittman Lions Club. He also served two terms as a councilman for the City of Rittman.
He married Ellen Boyes on Nov. 11, 1944, and was the owner of Bauders Electric.
Andy enjoyed spending time with family and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen; sons, Jerry (Heather) Bauders of Bowerstown and Denny (Raeshelle) Bauders of Baltimore; daughters, Barbara Anderson of Millersburg and Beth (Kirk) Ambrose of Wadsworth; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and sisters, Martha and Clarice.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Private graveside services will be held for the family at Rittman Cemetery with pastor Dan Cammarn officiating. Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256.
