Fred was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1949. Fred was employed as a firefighter for the City of Niagara Falls where he enjoyed cooking for all the firemen, until he retired in 1981 after 20 years of service. In addition to being a firefighter, Fred also sold cars and sightseeing tours for many years.
Mr. Palillo is survived by five children, Christine Bruno (Joseph D'Angelo), Lori (Daniel) Volpe, both of Niagara Falls, NY, Mary Jo (Michael) DiFrancesco of Lewiston, NY, Tammy (Robert) Nicholas of North Tonawanda, NY and Dana (Joanne) Greene of Syracuse, NY; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Patricia (late Premo) Rizzo of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother, John (Phyllis) Palillo of Niagara Falls, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jacob A. Palillo, former mayor of Niagara Falls, NY and Joseph Palillo, Jr.
