A Clay County native, he was born March 24, 1907, son of the late Robert Lee and Edith Sanders Addington. He was a retired farmer.
His wife, Gertrude Francis Taylor Addington, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Darwin Addinton, Eubank, and Bobby Addington, Halls Gap; three daughters, Marjorie Wilhelm, Cincinnati, Marcelene Stevens, Eubank, and Marlene Haggard, Waynesburg; a sister, Mollie Estes, Kings Mountain; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Hill officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery.
