Richard H. Bump Sr. 1927 - 2011 HOOSICK FALLS, NY Richard H. Bump Sr., 84, passed away on Saturday Dec. 10 at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bennington, Vt., where he had resided since 2008. Richard formerly resided on Congress Street in Hoosick Falls and was the husband of the late Anita (Albergine) Bump who died in 2000. Richard was born on March 12, 1927, in Arlington, Vt., son of the late Floyd and Florence (Gilbar) Bump. He attended schools in the Arlington area. Richard was a veteran of the Army, serving during World War II. He worked as a truck driver for the union until retiring. Survivors include his son, Richard H. Bump Jr. (Linda) of White Creek; daughter, Sandra Peckham of Cropseyville; sisters, Shirley Gardner and Florence Thomas; also, 11 grandchildren, 16 grea-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a daughter, Judy Ruebel. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be Thursday, December 15, 12 pm from the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial will follow the service at Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the funeral home.
