Former Resident Passes Recently at Spokane Home
Funeral services for William R. Becker, 57, who passed away Oct. 22,
were held recently at Hazen and Yaeger's Valley home with Rev. John Groschupt
officiating.
A lifelong Inland Empire resident, Becker died of a heart attack at
his home in Spokane. He was a partner in the Becker-Stanton Fuel company.
He was born and reared in Ritzville and had lived in the Spokane Valley
about 18 years. He operated the Allied Realty company in Spokane.
Surviving are his wife, Hannah, at the home; a daughter, Mrs. Neadda
Baird; and two grandchildren at Wilbur; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Lesser of
Moses Lake, Mrs. Hannah Becker of Medical Lake, Mrs. Anna Schafer of Spokane,
and Lucille Becker of Seattle; his stepfather, Jacob Ils of Ritzville; and
several stepsisters and stepbrothers.
Burial was at the Pines in Opportunity. Pallbearers were his nephews,
Louis Becker, Walter Becker, Virgil Becker, Allan Koch, Charles Miller and
Clark Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Keller, Pete Miller, Willis Barker,
Dale Cox, Frant Stanton and Lester Phillips.
