Vigus--Word was received in Decatur yesterday of the death at Paris, Texas of James B. Vigus after an illness of ten days of typhoid fever. It was not known here that his illness was serious until Tuesday night, when messages to that effect came to Decatur relatives. Mrs. Ida Vigus the dead mans stepmother, left Wednesday morning for Paris and with Mr.Vigus young widow will accompany the body home,arriving here Friday morning. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 3 oclock from the residence of Mrs.B. K. Hamsher.
Until he left Decatur for Texas seven years ago "Jimmy" Vigus was a well known and popular young man in Decatur, where he had spent practically all his life and news of his death will be received with general sorrow. He was 30 years of age. He left no immediate relatives but is survived by his wife. Four years ago last June he was married to Miss Bessie Hamser daughter of Mrs.B. K. Hamsher and a young woman with a host of friends in Decatur who will extend to her their fullest sympathy in her affliction.
In Texas, Mrs. Vigus was a representative of a typewriter manufacturing company and was advancing and prospering in his work when his fatal illness overtook him.
