Tragedy struck on Christmas Day when Edna Pearl Barron was killed with the gun with which she was playing and was accidentally discharged at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Mahaney at Bunger.

Services were held in Morrison Chapel officiated by Rev. Galloway of Abilene. Rev. Gallowway is a former school teacher and pastor of the young girl.

Survived by her parents; three brothers - Walter Barron, Willie Roy Barron, Ed Barron; three sisters - Mrs. George Peerry, Ettalee Barron, Nellie Marie Barron.
