According to his obituary, Emil was born in in Wallis, TX on the family farm. The family farm was in Fort Bend County, Texas. Find-A-Grave does not allow Wallis to be listed as Fort Bend County, even though the rural sections around Wallis are in Fort Bend County. His parents moved from Fayette to Fort Bend County in 1900.

Emil's death certificate lists his death as 8 Jul 1976. His gravestone list the date 1975.

Funeral services for Emil Dusek of Rt. 1, East Bernard were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8 from Guardian Angel Church in Wallis with Rev. Mike Krol officiating. Burial was in Guardian Angel Cemetery with Knesek and Sons Funeral Home directing.

Rosary recital was held Friday evening at 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers were Raymond, Jodie and Kenneth Dusek, Jerry Kosik, Jerome Cerny and Vladik Wallick. (sic - Walcik)

Born in Wallis on September 20, 1900 he was reared in Wallis and received his education at Central and Orchard schools. On January 20, 1925 he was united in marriage to Miss Wilma Viaclovsky in Wallis.

Mr. Dusek passed away in the Caney Valley Hospital in Wharton at 8:35 a.m. Thursday, July 8, attaining the age of 75 years.

Survivors besides his wife are one daughter; one son, Edwin Dusek of Rt. 1 East Bernard; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Cerny and Mrs. Hattie Proctor, both of Wallis; Mrs. Charles Kosik of East Bernard and Mrs. Vlasta Rose of Rosenberg; one brother, Jerry Dusek of East Bernard, and two grandchildren.
