The Dumville Family letters are in custody of the archives of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, Illinois. Hephzibah wrote most of these letters which chronicle the female voice of what life was like in the antebellum Midwest.
Hephzibah married Freiderich Bechly on August 16, 1864 and died after the birth of their second child.
