Mrs. McQuerry was born in Portland, OR, and lived in the Kansas City area from 1954 to 1989, before moving to Sunrise Beach in 1989.
She and her husband owned and operated area restaurants for many years.
They operated Mac & Betty's Cafe, in Oak Grove, from 1960 to 1969, I-70 Tavern and Liquor Store, in Bates City, from 1961 to 1977, and the Dairy Queen, on Noland Road, Independence, from 1977 to 1989.
Betty was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Oak Grove and was born again in 1976.
Survivors include her husband, Mac McQuerry, of the home; three daughters, Patricia Perry, Blue Springs, MO, Penny Jaggers, Lee's Summit, MO, Pamela Sledd, Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Shirley Snow, Ft. Worth, TX, Roberta Boyle, Canby, OR; one nephew, Darrell Patterson, Rosemont, MN; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements: Royer Funeral Home.
