Impressive Funeral Services Held Yetserday Over Son of Former Governor of California
Impressive funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Volney T. Gage, son of former Governor Henry T. Gage and Mrs. Gage, who died at the family home at Downey. Services were held at the home at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. F. J. Conaty officiating. The family and a few intimate friends were present at this service. At 3 o'clock services were held in the chapel at Calvary cemetery, in charge of Father Conaty. The body was placed in the vault. The floral offerings were especially beautiful, about 100 set pieces having been sent by friends."
