Cornelius 'Neil' Adams passed away August 2, 2005 after a brief illness. Mr. Adams was born April 2, 1942 in Whitesburg, Kentucky and moved to Jacksonville in 1977. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Lakeshore United Methodist Church. Mr. Adams was an employee of AmeriSteel for the past 34 years.
Mr. Adams is survived by his loving wife Sallie; son James; daughter Stephanie (Joe Gabala); father James Adams; sisters Patty Brown (Bruce), Patsy Stamper (Bill), and Ramona Collier (John); many loved nieces and nephews; and father and mother-in-laws Tyler and Virginia Redden. Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his mother Banzel Adams. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. this morning, Friday, August 5, 2005 in the Mandarin Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery.
