He was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II, and served as a paratrooper in the European theater and with the Signal Corps.
She is survived by daughters,Marilyn Schuette, Oak Ridge, TN; Doris Schuette Rubin of Arlington, Va., and Linda Schuette Feuerbacher of Gastonia, N.C.; a grandson, Christopher Dean Willis of Etowah; and two sistersin-law, Dorothy Akins of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Florence Bollman of Collinsville; Two Brothers, Wendell Akins of Hamel,IL & Merle Akins of Bainbridge Island, WA.
Maxine & George were the owners of a Motel in Manchester, TN.
