Mom devoted her life to her family. She was a hard worker. Her motto was "anything worth doing is worth doing well." Any assignment she was given she went the extra mile to accomplish it. That applied especially to her many church callings and assignments. She served in the Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School. She was an inspiration to her family and in her church service.
Mom is survived by her children: Sharon Ann (Dennis) Pickett, Claudia Jean Shore and Thomas Harold (Norma) Shore; adopted daughter, Norma Goddard; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margie Nichols.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers: Roger Jack Farrell, and William "Ziggy" Farrell; sister, Joyce Farrell Clark.
The family would like to thank Gunnison Valley Hospital Hospice and Dr. Steven Embley. A special thanks goes to the Community Living Center in Centerfield, who took such loving care of our mom. Words can't express our appreciation to Carma Sorensen and CNA's Bailee, Bonnie, Elise, Felicia, Jean, Kayla, Nicole, Shelly and Virginia. Her special friend Leslie Higham, who stayed by her side until her passing.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Redmond on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
