Col. Morrison Dead
Col. John L. Morrison, one of the leading citizens of Howard county died at his home in Fayette Sunday night, aged 73 years. Colonel Morrison was formerly sheriff of Howard county and was warden of the Missouri penitentiary under Governor Francis. He was the father-in-law of Congressman John F. Shafroth of Colorado. He was buried by the Masonic order Monday afternoon.
