Francis "Frank" A. Adam, 88, of Wilburton, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at the Latimer County Hospital in Wilburton. Frank was born in West Point, Iowa on January 14, 1923, a son of the late Theresa May (Paetzoid) and Ambrose Adam. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service. Frank attended the Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Adam of the home; sons, Michael Adam of Tulsa, OK and Carl Adam of Plano, TX; daughters, Shivaun Adam of OK City, Kathy and Don Dominick of Stillwater, OK, and Denise Adam of Kansas City, MO; brother, Ed Adam of Midford, OR; sisters, Mary and Norbert Roach of Ft. Smith, AR, Aileen Johnson of Midwest City, OK and Dolores and Roy Stutz of Bison, OK. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilburton, with the Rev. Josh Litwack officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Wilburton, under the direction of Waldrop Funeral Home of Wilburton.
