Henry E. Collins
Henry E. Collins, one of the oldest residents of the Cohannet street section of Taunton, passed away Thursday at Providence in his 88th year. Since his retirement from active affairs he had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. James Ogg, 680 Cohannet Street, and some two weeks ago went to Providence for a visit with another daughter, Mrs. Harry H. Adams. He was stricken with illness on this visit and gradually declined to the end. Besides the daughter named, he is survived by one son, Edwin Collins of Providence, by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Collins was a native of Taunton and had lived his long life in this city and in Providence. He was a member of Mount Hope Lodge, I.O.O.F. of Providence and was held in high regard by all who knew him. The funeral will take place Saturday at the home of Mrs. Adams in Providence and will be private. Burial will be in the family lot in Mayflower Hill cemetery, this city.
