KOWSKY - Albert J. Kowsky,
83, of 389 Morgan St, Tonawanda,
died Monday evening (May
14, 1962) after a lingering illness.
He was born in Germany and re-
sided in the Tonawandas for the
past 82 years. He was a former
member of the Sweeney Hose Co.
and a retired employee of Wurlitzer,
Inc., where he was employed
40 years before his retirement
eight years ago. He is survived
by his wife Bertha, four daughters;
Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Umland of
Buffalo, Mrs. Raymond (Pauline) Fick
of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Ethel Millar
of Hamburg and Mrs. Leo (Mabel)
Thomsen of Tonawanda; two sons,
Levant Kowsky of Tonawanda and
Edward Fick of Town of Tonawanda.
He was the step-Father of Frank Garlapo
and the late Charles W. Garlapo; also
survived by 13 grandchildren, and
two great-grandchildren, five step-
grandchildren and six step-great-
grandchildren. Friends may call at
the Hilliard Funeral Home,
147 Delaware St., Tonawanda,
where services will be
Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. David
Lubba will officiate. Burial
in Elmlawn Cemetery.
