Mrs. Roessler was 26 years old at the time of her death, having been born in Kansas on the 29th of December, 1892. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weakly, former resident of the vicinity. Her parents had returned from Kansas and moved to Decatur where she had attended school, graduating from the Decatur High School and for several years taught in the rural schools near Decatur. She married Ira P. Roessler, on the 9th of September, 1913 and since that time they resided on a farm a few miles from Shelbyville. One child was born to them.
