SLATON- Funeral services for John Lee Boyd, 86, a Slaton resident for about 30 years who died at 6:25 A.M. Monday at a Lubbock convalescent home, were to be held at 3:30 P.M. today at Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Gaze, pastor of the Slaton First Baptist Church, officiating.
Boyd and a brother,Dock Boyd, the only survivor, operated a swimming pool at Slaton for many years. Burial was to be in Englewood Cemetery at Slaton.
