Janice Y. Horne, 33, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Austin, died here Friday of natural causes.

Born May 24, 1956 in Levelland, Texas, she was a daughter of Jerry G. Horne of Pine Bluff and Patricia Creech of Austin.

She was a social worker and served as president of the Austin chapter of the National Organization for Women.

She graduated from high school in 1974 at Greenville. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a master's degree from Southwest Texas University at San Marcos.

Other survivors include her grandparents, George and Rosalee Gillmore of Houston and Glen C. Creech of Northlee and two brothers, Larry G. Horne and Gary R. Horne, both of Fort Smith.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hale-South Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden Cemetery by Hale-South Funeral Home.
