SHARP, Dorothy L. "Dot" of Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence surrounded by her family. Age 84 years. The daughter of the late Lonnie and Emma (Stewart) Grubbs was born December 16, 1926 in Paradise, Kentucky. She married Rex P. Sharp, October 5, 1946. He passed away May 20, 2009. She was employed by Kroger for over twenty years. She had been an active member of First Baptist Church since 1954. She enjoyed swimming in the senior exercising program at Sherwood School. Dorothy was a loving mother and devoted to her family and church and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Surviving are three daughters and their husbands: Phylis and Mike Beyer, Saginaw, MI, Betty and Gary Neilan, Hanford, CA, Carolyn and John Hartnagle, Hope, MI; five grandchildren and their spouses: Brock and Jamie Isanhart, Jamie and John Slot, Monica and Michael Bentley, L. J. and Angela Hartnagle, Libby Isanhart; three great grandchildren: Avery, Gibson and Jake; three sisters and two brothers: Nellie Johnson, Jeanie LaFleur, Peggy and Monroe Myer, Eugene Grubbs, Johnny and Ernestine Grubbs; many nieces and nephews. A grandson, Joshua Kapp; an infant granddaughter; two brothers and three sisters have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at W.L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Revs. Gary and Betty Neilan will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Beacon of Hope Baptist Church or V.N.A.
