MUNCIE--Brenda K. Moore, 55, of Muncie, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Brenda was born March 26, 1956 in Muncie. She graduated from Yorktown High School in 1974 and went on to earn her Associates degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech College. She worked as an LPN at The Waters of Muncie Nursing Home for 12 years, and was currently enrolled in classes working towards earning her RN License.
Brenda enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races and also enjoyed traveling. Her children and grandchildren were her life.
Brenda is survived by four children, Bradley Moore of Muncie, Christopher Moore of Los Angeles, CA, Shaun Moore of Muncie, and Kimberlee Moore of Muncie; five grandchildren, Tyler Moore, Mackenzie Moore, Chase Moore, Madyson Moore and Masun Moore; her step-father, Robert Tatlock of Crothersville, IN; three brothers, Jerry Powers (wife-Brenda), David Powers (wife-Dayna), and Todd Powers (wife-Kelly); and six nieces and nephews, Cyndi Powers, Brook Powers, Heather Powers, Bryan Powers, Aric Powers, and Jason Powers.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, David Powers, and her mother, Jean Tatlock.
A funeral service to celebrate Brenda's life will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home at 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services on Monday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
