Henry E. Ferguson

Henry E. Ferguson, aged 82, a retired steelworker, died at noon Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Moss, 1609 W. Federal St., after a two week illness.

Born in County Durham, England, Nov. 23, 1865, he was a son of Richard and Jane Pleskit Ferguson. He came here 61 years ago and was a foreman in the mould yard of the Ohio Works of the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation, retiring about 12 years ago. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. His wife, the former Betsy Hamer, died in 1937.

He leaves seven sons, Joseph, Richard, William, Henry E. Jr., Alexander and Thomas R. of Youngstown, Walter of Girard; three daughters, Mrs. Moss, Mrs. John Bobovnyk and Mrs. Joseph Morthland, all of Youngstown; 44 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother Thomas R. of Struthers. His son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. James Ferguson died during the winter.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Weller Funeral Home where friends may call Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and evening.
