"In Memorium: Robert Hilliard was born December 17, 1913, in Glendive. He grew up and attended schools in Glendive. He graduated from Dawson County High School and attended the University of Montana. He served in the 53rd Armored Division of the U.S. Army in the African and European Theatres in W.W. II and was in the allied invasion of Normandy.
"On December 25, 1945, he and Nora Oftedal were united in marriage. They ranched in the Belle Prairie area.
"He is survived by: his wife; two sons, Steve and Bruce; three daughters, Mrs. Leta Vuricic, Lori and Carol; his step-father, Dominic Marrone; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Clark and Mrs. Floris Roberts; and two grandchildren, Shane Hilliard and Stacey Vuricic."
