Mrs. Alsobrook Dies at Five Points Home.
Mrs. J. N. Alsobrook, aged 81 years, widow of the late J. N. Alsobrook and prominent Chambers County woman at Five Points, died at her home there last Thursday afternoon at four o'clock, following an illness of several weeks. She had been in failing health for several months.
Funeral service was held from the Methodist church at Five Points last Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev. Treadaway being the officiating minister, and being assisted by Revs. Wilson, pastor of the Fairfax church and former pastor of the deceased; Ellis, pastor of the First Methodist church of Roanoke, and B. B. McGinty, Baptist minister of Riverview. The deceased was a member of the Five Points Methodist Church for a long period of years, and interment was made in the Five Points Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, as follows: B. H. Smartt, Brice Alsobrook, Erick Alsobrook, Jr., Walter Thomas, Elmer A. Jones and Jesse M. Jones, Jr.
Surviving the deceased are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas, Birmingham, and Mrs. J. M. Jones, Roanoke, and seven sons, O. D. Alsobrook, Cusseta; A. F. Alsobrook, Five points; Quint Alsobrook, Miami; Kyle Alsobrook, Miami; Lewis Alsobrook, LaGrange; Erick Alsobrook, Albertville; and Dr. Alsobrook, of Florida.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Robinson & Cutler, LaFayette undertaker.
