Funeral services for Charles Almon Whitcomb (1875-1943), 68, retired railroad man whose death occurred Sunday at Crescent City after a brief illness will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Crescent City Presbyterian Church with Rev. H. Dewey Gress officiating.
Burial wil be made in Eden cemetery with Masonic rites at the grave.
Clayton Frank is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Whitcomb was a native of Fitchburg, Mass., and had resided in Crescent City for the past five years. He was a life member of Aurora Lodge F&AM at Fitchburg.
Besides his widow, Agnes Benson Whitcomb, three daughters, Mrs. Grace Gray, Nahant, Mass., Mrs. Jennie Hiers, Daytona Beach and Miss Sallie Whitcomb, Crescent City and a brother, Walter Whitcomb, Leminster, Mass., survive. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Tuesday, 20 Jul 1943.)
