Edith R. Casanova died peacefully on Dec. 03, 2011 at Sunshine Villa in Santa Cruz, CA, at the age of 103. Edith was born in San Francisco on July 3, 1908. She was preceeded in death in 1991, by her husband Edward W. Casanova who was a Vice President at Bank of America in San Mateo, CA, where she resided for over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Carrigan, her son-in-law, Michael, her grandchildren, James Carrigan, Susan Chavez and Laurie Carrigan and her great-grandchildren, Michael and Nicolas Chavez and Lindsay and Erin Carrigan.

A rosary and mass will be held at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz tonight (Tuesday, December 6th) at 5 pm. Friends are invited to pay their respects at the chapel until 7 p.m. A private committal service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, California on Wednesday where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Edward. The family asks that any kind acts of charity be made Edith's name in the form of a donation to Heartland Hospice (2511 Garden Road Suite B 200) Monterey, CA. 93940.
