Mrs. Belle Seagle, widow of the late J. Brown Seagle, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George W Dodgion near the station at the age of eighty-five years. She was a native of this county and was born and reared on Cripple Creek.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. George Dodgion of Wytheville; Mrs. P. F. Clore, Tacoma Park , MD; Mrs. G. W. Seagle, Pueblo, Colo; Mr. Gus Seagle, Southern Pines, N. C. ; Mr. E. W. Seagle, Salt Lake City, Utah. Also one brother and one sister: Mr. W. B. Hines, of Max Meadows; and Mrs. Sally Busic.
The funeral service was held from the home this afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the Rev. J. K. Cadwallader. The interment followed in the East End Cemetery.
The pall bearers were Messrs. Edward Spraker, Noel Scott, Jess Shepherd, Brue Shepherd, Mark Babcock, A. W. Thompson, Gus Scott, Henry Pattison.
The honorary pallbearers were: Dr. M. B. Caldwell, Messrs. James C. Hull, Charles A Scott. Frank Archer, W. E. Snavely, C. J. Wine, G. W. J Sharitz, N. B Rhudy, Thomas C. Wohlford, G. B. Morehead of Wytheville, P. M. Stump and A. T. Conaway of Bluefield.
