Rose Marie "Rodie" Asaro

Rose Marie "Rodie" Asaro passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was 84. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA.

Beloved wife of Edward J. Asaro for 62 years.

Mother of Edward (Peggy), Bobby (Sue), Jimmy (Debbie) and Vincent (Gwen) Asaro, Lillie Leonard (Kirk) and the late Rose Asaro. Daughter of the late Lillian Montreuil Labatut and Arthur Joseph Labatut. Sister of Louis Labatut and the late Merle Kirchem, Lois, A.J., Lloyd "Brud", Alvin "Beanie", Monte, Bobby, Larry and Milton Labatut.

Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 3368 Esplanade Avenue on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. The visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum of Metairie Cemetery. LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
