Herman Crabtree
Funeral services for Mr. Herman Crabtree, 86 of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Green officiating.

Mr. Crabtree died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a retired insurance agent with Farm Bureau. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Agriculture, and was in charge of Fredonia Cemetery. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Civitan Club, a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Born Dec. 31, 1921, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Jesse and Addie (Maddox) Crabtree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Lillian Doras, Iva Gilliam, and Ruth Bowman; and 4 brothers, Paris Crabtree, Gordon Crabtree, Hoy Crabtree, and James Crabtree.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Crabtree of Livingston; 2 sons, Bill Crabtree and Bob Crabtree, both of Livingston; a daughter, Martha Elizabeth Crabtree of Las Vegas, NV; and a sister, Lorene Gleason of Sacramento, CA.

Honorary pallbearers were his Sunday School class.
