Mrs. Mary Lois Baker was born on June 21, 1927, to the late Lake Glover and Ruth Rogers. Later, her stepfather, Cody Dixon, played a big part in her life. Lois attended Fort Hawkins Elementary School and A. L. Miller High in Macon. She was proud of her war work as a mechanic in engine repair at Robins Air Force Base. She became an LPN and worked at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and Boling Green Nursing Home for a number of years. She loved her work as a nurse.
She and Mr. Schiller Baker began, owned and operated Baker's Acres Mobile Home Park located on Joycliff Road, Jones County, Macon, Georgia. She was a charter member of Covenant Life Cathedral Church (formerly Lighthouse of Deliverance) and was a beloved Sunday School teacher.
The three main loves of her life were her husband: Schiller; her son: Lee; and sharing her faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord. She was also devoted to her family, friends, and had a big heart to care and minister to many people.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Schiller Bonner Baker. Her brother and sisters include William Glover (Maxine), deceased; Garnita Glover Wood (Clovis-living) deceased; and Violet Glover Carden (Harvard) living.
