Berdine (Whitaker) Bish, 82, of Indiana, formerly of East Mahoning Township, died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana.

She was born April 15, 1921 in West Mahoning Township (Indiana County), to Albert F. and Mabel (Frederick) Whitaker.

Mrs. Bish was a homemaker. A member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Trade City, she had served as church pianist, Sunday School teacher and superintendent and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her family. For 67 years, she was a resident of East Mahoning Township before moving to Indiana in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy D. Bish of Indiana, Jeffrey P. Bish of Noblesville, Ind.; one stepson, Harry R. Bish of Clymer; three grandchildren; step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Kathleen) Morris of St. Albans, W.Va., Wanda Mazon of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Jay (Janice) Hamilton of Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Bish, who died in 1987; and one stepson, Kenneth Bish.

Private burial will be in the Georgeville Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 27552 Route 954 HWY. N., Smicksburg, PA 16256.
