William A. Cornman, 42 East Locust Street, Mechanicsburg, native of Cumberland County and former justice of the peace in Mechanicsburg, died yesterday afternoon in the Seidle Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
He taught school in Cumberland County for seven years and was a bookkeeper for the Lackawanna Steel Company for a number of years. He served as justice of the peace for 16 year. He was a member of the First Church of God and the Citizen Fire Company in Mechanicsburg, and was also affiliated with the Junior Mechanics, the Order of Red Men and the Railroad Brotherhood.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Hurst Cornman; a brother, Rev. Charles Cornman of Valosi, N.Y., and a number of nieces and nephews.
