John A . (Jack) Blessing, Jr. of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. passed away July 22, 2008.

He was born on June 15, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA.

He graduated from West Catholic High School and Columbia University.

Jack was employed by Commercial Credit Company of Baltimore for 32 years reaching the position Senior Group Vice President.

He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict.

Family members include his sons, John A. Blessing III, of Plano, TX, and David C. Blessing, of Annandale, VA; brother, Charles C. Blessing, of Doylestown, PA; sister, Betty A. Shapren, of Warminster, PA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 11, 2008 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, with the Reverend Daniel DePascale as Celebrant.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Legion Post 233, Palm Valley, FL. or the American Cancer Society.
