Emmaline G. Moorhead was born near Frankfort, Indiana, on October 23, 1848. She was married to John L. Douglas after the close of the war, and resided in Indiana until 1887, when the family came to Nebraska, settling in Callaway, where they have since resided. Mr. Douglas died a little over a year ago. Mrs. Douglas had benn for some time in rather delicate health, and the immediate cause of her death was an attack of pneumonis, which has been so prevalent in this community of late. She leaves three daughter: Mrs. George Mair, Mrs. W. Stevens and Mrs. Ed Pinnell, a son Curtis, 12 years of age to mourn her loss.

Undertaker, M. E. Schneringer moved the remains of John L. Douglas from Kingsbury Cemetery to Rose Hill Cemetery and laid them beside his wife
