DRESDEN – Mrs. Lenna E. McConnell, 81, 1249 Sleepy Hollow Dr. Coshocton, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday in her home following a three-month illness.
She was born Sept. 16, 1893, in Coshocton to Marion and Lavina Anderson Wright. Her husband, James McConnell, died in December 1965.
Mrs. McConnell was a member of Chalfant's Methodist Church near Dresden and its Women's Society.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. James J. McConnell, 1640 Sleepy Hollow Dr., Coshocton; Richard McConnell, 1922 Hillcrest Dr., Coshocton; a sister, Mrs. Estella Nethers, Winter Haven, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
One brother is deceased.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Dresden Chapel of the Baughman and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Forrest Waller officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Chalfant's Methodist Church restoration in care of the Grace Methodist Church.

Lenna was one of the seven students to graduate from West Bedford High School in 1911. She was vice-president of the class. Lenna's graduation oration was titled "The Value of Cheerfulness".
