Taylorville, Illinois, March 28 - Leonard Durbin, a pioneer settler of Christian County, died at his home in Taylorville Monday night. The deceased was born in Grayson County, Kentucky, March 3, 1820, and was therefore in his 85th year. Four children survive the deceased - Mrs. Nancy Durbin of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Philip Durbin of Taylorville, L. D. Durbin of Clarksdale, and Michael Durbin of Mint, Missouri.

Willis Oller also indicates the Leonard married Mary Catherine Logsdon on June 1, 1840 in Christian County, Illinois.
